go to services.msc
Select service “SSDP Discovery” , set to start automatically .
Select service “UPnP Device Host”, set to start automatically
if u find the above services with the options start/stop/restart disabled, right click on the service, go to properties, select the startup type as required(start automatically in this case).
now check the network discovery option at “Control Panel\Network and Internet\Network and Sharing Center\Advanced sharing settings” .. it should be on .
there might be multiple possibilities for the occurance of the above exception, but for most of the time, it occurs when the (partionkey+rowkey) is not unique for each entry. check it out.
Use the following command with the new collation_name as per ur requirement.
for example to change from case insensitive server collation to case sensitive,
use the collation _name “Latin1_General_CS_AI ” (instead of Latin1_General_CI_AI ) and run the command.
CS in Latin1_General_CS_AI : Case Sensitive.
instance_name (while installing, if its default): MSSQLSERVER
open command prompt and go to the path where the setup application of sql server is present and run the following command
Could not create SSOSQL. To fix the problem, reinstall SSO or try 'regasm SSOSQL.dll' from a Visual Studio command prompt.
Error Code: 0×80131700
Re-installing SSO didn’t sound very appealing to me so I tried what the error suggested, which was to re-register the SSO SQL assembly. From the Visual Studio command prompt, you run the following:
regasm "C:\Program Files\Common Files\Enterprise Single Sign-On\SSOSQL.dll"
i got into an issue recently that while writing a sample azure app, I had to update the azure table with a bunch of properties say name, mobile_num etc along with partitionkey and rowkey. When I run the app, I find that the properties name,mobile_num etc aren’t visible in the table infact they aren’t got updated in the table, but I could see the partitionkey, rowkey and timestamp properties. After a long fight to solve the issue, I figured that in the entity class xxxx(where we define the properties name,mobile_num etc) that derives from tableserviceentity class , I have defined the properties as variables and not as properties. To be precise, I missed get and set functions for the properties I defined. when I add get and set , it worked well.
silly isn’t it?
